CHOIR LEADER
Alana is an experienced choir leader and singing workshop leader. She runs community singing workshops with people of all ages across the UK at festivals, schools, opening/closing ceremonies, conferences and as standalone workshops. As a Natural Voice Network practitioner, Alana's teaching style is inclusive, playful and expressive, and she shares songs from her extensive repertoire of 3-4 part harmony songs and rounds.

Celebrate the summer solstice with a 4 day immersion into song, songwriting and nature connection in the beautiful landscapes of Donegal, Ireland. This retreat will be a unique opportunity to awaken your creativity, write and sing songs with celebrated songwriters and vocal facilitators Georgie Buchanan and Alana Middleton, as well as to connect with the rich musical heritage and landscapes that surround The Song House.
We will be tuning into the fiery spirit of the Summer Solstice and learning traditional and original songs in 3-4 part harmony to celebrate the light and embody the richness of this extraordinary point in the year.
All voices are welcome. Whether you’re a seasoned singer or just beginning your journey into the discovery of your voice, we would love to sing with you! No experience of songwriting is required, just a curiosity and an openness to dive in!

The Farm Choir
Alana Middleton and Jade Harris lead the Farm Choir umbrella project at Meanwood Valley Urban Farm, Leeds. The choir sings joyful, beautiful and heart-warming songs from folk traditions from the British Isles and around the world. Based at the farm, a haven for city dwellers, the choir has a natural interest in songs about the land, seasons, animals and trees.
They perform at local community events, open days and folk clubs.
